Presbyopia is a vision condition which tends to develop in people aged 40 and over, and involves the steady loss of close up vision. This means that sufferers often require multifocal lenses such as the Proclear Multifocal XR from CooperVision, which is tailored to presbyopia sufferers who need keen long sight and sharp close up vision for tasks such as reading. Stronger than Proclear Multifocal lenses, they are ideal for those who need correction for a more severe prescription.
Designed by CooperVision, the Proclear Multifocal XR lenses are intended to be worn daily over a period of one month, and then disposed of. Wearing beyond that can result in limited effectiveness.
Made from a mixture of water and Omafilcon A, the Proclear Multifocal XR lenses incorporate CooperVision's PC technology to use the body's natural mechanisms to lock in moisture, enhancing comfort.
These Proclear lenses are not specially designed to deal with UV light, and other lenses should be procured for this purpose.
The Proclear Multifocal XR lenses are ideal for those who suffer from a high degree of presbyopia, particularly if one eye is dominant. Because of their high strength and advanced design, these lenses provide flexibility of vision and a high quality correction of any distortions due to presbyopia. They will be suited to anyone who works with close up objects such as technicians, office workers or plumbers.
